Question Posted Tuesday January 10 2006, 10:33 pm

hi sam,
I know how annoying it is to give advice about relationships, but I don't know what else to do, so I'm sorry in advance.

today was our 10 month anniversary, so we've been going out for a pretty long time. things just don't seem to be as good as they used to be. phone conversations are boring, and everything just seems to be....boring. he seems to be losing interest, even though I'm not. we're really close and I'm one of the people he talks to the most, so when he's angry, he tends to take it out on me a lot. My friends all think we should breakup but I love him and I really don't know what to do :(

Never feel like you are pestering me with questions... this is an advice web site and I'm open to answer any questions at all

Well, new relationships are always more fun. There's tons of small talk to make, the first kisses are more exciting, being with each other is fun and you learn more and more about each other... And after awhile you feel like you really know the person and there's no excitement. How do you liven things up? Do something out of the box. You guys go to a movie every Friday? Try going bowling, or going to Hibachi. You guys always end up talking about the same old thing? Try talking about his childhood. Maybe you need to take things onto a higher level on your physical relationship too. If you love him, don't break up with him; things will never return to normal. Just try to spice things up.
