Question for guys and if girls had an experience

Question Posted Friday January 6 2006, 10:08 pm

I used to like a guy during the whole summer, and he knew, and there was a possibility he liked me, but then he went off to University, Could that be the reason why he did not start anything? Also, he has a girlfriend now (but she asked him out hehe), how do I become friends with him, and try to make him think you are over him? I dont want to tell him "im over you" because I am afraid that he will feel even more uncomfortable being around me than he does now. Thank you so much, and I will rate.

To your first question. He might not have liked you like romantically, but if he did, he might not have started anything because he was going off to college. It'd be hard to have a relationship, and then have to end it not because one person stopped liking the other, but because you two are no longer physically together. It makes it hard to let go, and can be painful.

As to being friends with him. Just call him up, talk to him, but don't flirt with him. Maybe even dropping hints like "i'm glad that you're my friend, i wouldn't have it any other way" will clue him in that you think of him as a friend (and only a friend).

Just be yourself around him. Don't send him signals, don't flirt, just be a good friend. I don't know if this helps or not... I've never been in this situation, but I figured I'd try my best.
