what in the world?

Question Posted Thursday January 5 2006, 10:36 pm

sorry if this is kinda gross, but were all ladies here... OKay well I ended my period a few days ago. Today i had a lot of pain throughout my vagina. I went to bathroom at school and it really bothered me. I had a Urinary Track Infection awhile ago and took medicine so It was okay, but i think that was because i was fingered & something went wrong i was never really sure. But I havent done anything sexually with a guy for about 2.5 months. But i do masturbate. When i got home i tried going again and i could only go a little bit and when i wiped there was tiny specks of blood and it was different from period blood. I was thinking because this was the first time i was on my period that i used tampons maybe it was because my cherry popped but I would think thered be a lot more blood. What do you think it is and have you had this happen before? Oh and i took my medicine that i had for my UTI and it doesnt hurt anymore... but theres not the same signs as when i got it the first time *Rate HIGH if its not harsh feedback, thanks*

First off, relax. Worrying will only make things worse. If the blood just shows up from time to time, it might just be that you nicked some tissue with the tampon. Also, specks of blood can show up between periods. Now if the specks of blood show up after urination, thats not a good thing. You should see a doctor regardless, as unexplained bleeding is NEVER a good thing.
