It depends whether or not you have a natural curl (or even just a natural wave) to your hair.
If you have a natural curl/wave, than you wet your clean hair at night, don't dry it, but make sure it's not dripping wet, brush it down in the part that you want it in, and put in a fairly small amount of mousse in your hair because you don't want your hair to be crunchy, you want it to have a natural flow. I use Samy Mucho Mousse and it works fabulously. To put in the mouse, you put a glob in the center of your palm, rub your hands together, and ease it out of your hand applying with your fingers, NOT YOUR PALM! You want your hair to be locky, not one solid thing. If you find that it isn't curling so great, turn your head upside down and put all of your hair in a messy bun on the top of your head with a thin elastic. (When you're doing that, your hair should still be damp. If it's not, spray it with water) DO NOT BRUSH YOUR HAIR AFTER THE MOUSSE IS IN YOUR HAIR! IF YOU BRUSH CURLS, IT'LL TOTALLY RUIN THEM!
If you don't have a natural curl/wave to your hair, the procedure isn't that much different, but you need more time in the morning. I would give yourself a good hour. (No, it doesn't take an hour. You need that hour for it to start drying) You wet your clean hair in the morning, don't dry it, but make sure it's not dripping wet, brush it down in the part that you want it in, and put in a fairly good glob of mousse in your hair because your hair kinda has to be a little crunchy. Once again, Samy Mucho Mousse will work great. To put in the mouse, you put a glob in the center of your palm, rub your hands together, and ease it out of your hand applying with your fingers, NOT YOUR PALM! You want your hair to be locky, not one solid thing. Once the mousse is in, put three mini messy buns in your head (one on the left and right side and one in the back) and make sure the buns are as close to your part as possible. Leave the buns in for an hour and you should be good. DO NOT BRUSH YOUR HAIR AFTER THE MOUSSE IS IN YOUR HAIR! IF YOU BRUSH CURLS, IT'LL TOTALLY RUIN THEM! ]
