Question Posted Saturday December 31 2005, 1:21 pm
I'm thirteen years old. I know all girls go through this, but I feel like I'm fat, but all my other friends say I'm not. I think they're just saying I'm not fat to make me feel better. I've been exercizing and dieting like crazy. The last time I went to the doctor, last month, she said I weighed 92 lbs! HELP!

Thanks for picking me to give you advice. First off, at thirteen years old you shouldnt be worried TOO much about your weight. I know appearance is a big thing to us teenagers, though. How tall are you? Weight depends on height. If your tall, you'll be expected to weigh a little more than average because you need skin, fluid, muscle, and things like that to fill up your tall self. So for all you know you could be slightly underweight. If not, then try to lay down on the eating so much, so you don't have to exercize like crazy. Just eat as much as you normally would, and lay off on the inbetween-meal snacks. Honestly, the best thing you could do, is stop worrying about it. You could also ask your doctor if there's any "mini diets" or if he could give you tips on eating and such. Hope I helped.
