adware??

ok i have norton antivirus & 2 threats were found in a full scan i did & they were both adware & i was wondering if adware has any potential threats er what it does??

adware does show a threat to your computer and privacy. its also known was spyware, and it basically can download stuff you dont want to download, show pop ups that get super annoying and sometimes allow other people to basically see all activities on your computer. some if you try to delete them will keep copying themselves, but some arent so serious. if you notice that your computer is being REALLY weird or something, then get someone to check it out.

Adware, also usually spyware, is a program that is on your computer used to create/target advertisements to you. Sometimes they are fairly benign, and you don't notice em. But they tend to slow your computer down, cause unwanted popups, and also collect information, such as passwords, dates, chat conversations, etc.

It's free and easy to remove these pests. Look into Adaware by Lavasoft and Spybot SD. Those two programs should cover you for the most part. And kudos for using anti-virus software.

no norton antivirus is a real viruse scanner..adware can slow down your computer so i suggest deleteing w/e it is.
