Malcom X

Question Posted Sunday December 18 2005, 1:10 am

Okay, I just read the question that someone wrote about malcom x. You said it was offensive that they didnt know who he was and they should read a book once in awhile. I read about 2 books a week, get straight a's in history, yet I have no Idea who he is. I dont know why it would be viewed as "offensive" that you dont know who someone is. Its not our faults. And the person who asked the question was trying to find out, yet you tell them that its offensive for them not to know already. I find you pretty rude for that. We know you're offended for your "homies", but maybe you could help the person find out who he is, instead of making them feel stupid. So basically, because I have never heard about him in history, you are saying I am being offensive to black people? HAH then you need to get a life. JEEZ I dont know who malcom x is, I MUST BE RACIST!

Tell your homies I said I'm sorry.

ok, since your obviosly trying to be rude to me id like to start off by saying that i too read many books a week and get straight a's,and id also like to say, like i told the person who asked the question, that i wasnt trying to be rude to them, history i a very important subject and im not saying that they are stupid because they didnt know who Malcolm X, im just saying that most schools have taugh it around 6th grade and for most people they at least know who he is,and i admit that the way i said it may have come of offensive to those who did not know who Malcolm X was but in no way was i implying that they were dumb in any way, especially since i am not a Malcolm X expert, but to tend to you poor sad heart which i have broken by my cruel word i shall tell the the litte knowledge i have of him,

Malcolm X was an very important activist fighting for the freedom and civil rights of african americans,he fought for these rights at the same time a Martin Luther King Jr. was, as we all know who MLK Jr. is we also know that his way was in peace and none violence, Malcolm X's theory on how to win his freedom was slightly diffrent,he believed that the only way to find freedom was through force, and violence if need be,he was not a violent man but did not believe that he should let white people use violence against him without fighting back,he started something called the Nation of Islam, which i believe was a group of temples all over to study the Muslim religion, later followers in the nation were given orders to kill him,and like MLK Jr. he too was assasinated,he became one of the most prominant activists in america, around 1500 people attended his funeral, and like MLK Jr. had the most famous words of "I Have A Dream", Malcolm X had the famous words of "By Any Means Necessary."

I hope that your heart has been mended by my sencire apology to this misunderstanding, i did not mean offense to anyone who did not know who Malcolm X was
