Dear Sufokate,
All you can do is try to reason with him over and over again. If the arguemnet is over his friend, and he doesn't want to see your side of it then maybe he cares about his friend more than you. Which is fucked up, I must say, but Ive had it happen to me. I just wish that guys could see that we don't want them to leave their friends for us, we just want them to believe us on the same level as they believe their friends. Because we trust them on the same level we trust everyone else. Possibly even more. Maybe you could tell him that.
I really hope he understands that his friend is just jealous of you two, and I hope he can see that before its too late.
