i'm in 8th grade, going to be 14 in a week but i still haven't gotten my period yet...is this normal?

Of course it's normal! My sisters best friend didn't start her period until she was 18, and a couple of my friends who are 16 haven't even started yet. But, yes. It's very normal, so don't even worry about it yet! (:
