Hunny, I'm not going to lie. Motivation when you exercise is the hardest thing in the world & it took me a million times to keep up running & dieting. But I did, and it was definitely worth it. Some tips you could follow are:

- Know the benefits of exercise. We are motivated to do things that we benefit from. Say if I said to you, "I'll give you a million dollars if you go on a 30 minute walk tomorrow." Would you do it? I betcha would! The benefits of exercise aren't exactly like that though, but many people keep motivated by knowing that they're exercising to target a certain part of their body, that they hate.
- Create your personal "reasons list." Write down EVERY reason you can think of that you want to get healthy/lose weight. Example; fitting into a size 7. being slimmer for prom next year. to be able to have a healthy future! Stuff like that.
- Exercise with a friend! It's a known fact that when you exercise with a friend you're more successful at exercising consistently. You can keep each other accountable. Knowing someone will wait for you and help you is a great motivation.
- Exercise first in the morning, every morning. People who exercise 6 to 7 days per week first thing in the morning are much more successful at exercising consistently than those who do the 2 or 3 day thing. It doesn't have to be a huge workout everyday. Just wake up early and go out for a 30 minute walk!
- Train for a local walk or run in your area. This can be a great motivation to exercise on a regular basis. Don't think you CAN'T do it, because you CAN.
- Reward yourself! Give yourself money for everytime you exercise & keep it in a money jar. At the end of the month or something see how much money you have in there! Maybe that'd be a good motivation for you? Knowing you have money at the end of the month & are able to spend money just for exercising.
- Keep records. How many times a day, & how long you exercise. Set some awesome goals!
--Goodluck!!

A bit of organization may help. Though, what I ultimately do is dependent on what I'm in the mood for. Which is how it should be. I haven't done single sit-ups since I started working out. The definition I'm getting is mostly from the basic abdominal machine, and the torso rotation machine.

Running... I like running just a mile. Or, I run as many laps as I can at the end of a workout. Something about knowing I can run x laps, and end up running x + 1 laps, gives me a sense of accomplishment.

Really, to work out, you have to be conscious of your goals. Why do you want to do it? Focus what you do on what you want to do, and what you like doing. If it's something you typically don't like, BUT brings you closer to your goal, remind yourself of that. "I'll make it through this."

One of my goals was to do twenty push-ups. I'd never done that in my life before. A month into working out, I accomplished it. Just one of the many on my little list.
