Not sure

Question Posted Monday November 14 2005, 8:50 pm

Hey Me and my boyfriend have been together for about 2 weeks, and i know it seems early to be having these questions in my mind but I do. He seems to like me an awful lot and I really like him too. The thing is he's kinda clingy and I want to see him and be with him too don't get me wrong, but it seems like hes too clingy for only knowing him for a little while. Another dillema is that he lives about an hour away from me so I usually only see him on the weekends, if that. He calls most every night and I talk to him on AIM alot. It's just hard not seeing him very often. Also we have some things in common but sometimes we have nothing to talk about at all and it gets kind of awkward. I dont know maybe i'm just over thinking the whole situation. On the good end of it all he does make my heart beat a hundred miles an hour and I often find myself staring off and just thinking about him. I really care about him alot. It's just i'm not sure if it's worth staying with someone that we have almost nothing in common with. PLEASE HELP ME!
sighned, Not Sure I am female and 14

Well just because you don't have a million things in common with him, doesn't mean you should break up with him or anything. Haven't you ever heard the saying," opposites attract"? And there IS one thing you do have in common: you both care for eachother alot, and that's enough to keep a relationship going. Yes, I know long distance relationships are hard, but if you last through it, it only shows how more dedicated and commited you are to make everything work out. =] My boyfriend lives more than your boyfriend does and I couldn't be happier. You just need to plan more things with him. Try hanging out with him on the weekends more and everything. Cause even though you hardly see eachother, wehnever you do.. it can be great and you can have an awseome time =] Yeah about the silent awkward moments.. what conversation doesn't have some? You just need to think of some things. Ask him how his day was, whats he doing, what is he thinking about, talk about movies, animals, just anything that comes to mind. This also helps you discover more possible things in common. Whenever my boyfriend and I talk on the phone, wehnever we mention something we're doing we can just make a good long conversation out of that sometimes =] I know its hard, but you gotta try =] I hope I helped.

Love,
MELii
