Abortion
Alright. How old do you have to be to get an abortion? I know that you can get it done at any age, but do you have to have a parent with you or can you have an adult 18 or older?
I'm 14. I'm not sure if I'm pregnant or anything. Just incase. And I don't really need you to tell me that I'm a slut, skank, or whore because I had sex with my boyfriend of a 1/2 year. I would like someone that has had an abortion to answer this question, if that's possible.

Well, i'm 14 too and i can tell you a think or two. Hun you don't have to have your parens be wit your to do a abortion. I for one believe in them. I strongly think there good cause a baby wit freak your life up in minutes and your whole life will be crushed, basically. so go for it just go to a clinic where no one knows u and tell the doctor to not phone or tell your parents. If he says anything to them it's against the law and violates your privacy and personal business and you can sue (good to know)!!

sweetie your 14 there is no one that will give you an abortion at your age...i don't look down apon you..but if you think your pg you need to talk to your mom, if you where my age or older. this would be totally diff. but you are to young. i didn't even think about having sex untill i was 16 and that is still to young. hun if you think you are pregnant then talk to your mom. she may get really pissed off. but you need to know. this is serious only bC of your age.

It actually depends on what state you live in.. some states you dont need parental consent,and others you need it up until you're 18.. and i remember i read about it on a site thats >> www.coolnurse.com you'll have to search through the website to find it, but i'm 100% sure its on there, if i have time later, i'll search for it and get you the exact site and edit my answer to give it to you

Hey, you asked me to edit my answer for you and give you a clearer answer then the site did, i read that too and it confused me, but i think that it isn't being enforced legally, but they are trying to pass it, but my guess is that some clinics force it, and others don't..so my best guess would be that each clinic is different, so you would have to call around to see which ones enforce it. good luck if you have to get one<3 let me know how it goes if you ever get the chance to drop one in my inbox

In most states, you can't have an abortion without an adult there/consent...i don't think planned parenthood can do it for minors either. usually you have to have parent's consent if you even live in a state that allows it. (seriously, some people have to go out of state to get it done). I personally don't like the idea... if you can't stand a child, you shouldn't be having sex but that's your business. please be safe about it... go on the pill and use a condom so you don't have to even consider it. <3

Well, you have to wait a few weeks after you are pregnant, one can't be done until the 6th week. If you feel comfortable telling your parents, your mom can take you to a doctor and he/she can tell you where they are done in your area. If that is not an option, you can go to planned parenthood and have it done there. You have to go with someone who can help take you home afterwards, hopefully someone who can drive. You can't eat or drink about 12 hours before you have it so try and do it first thing in the morning. You'll have your period afterwards for about 2 weeks and have to wear pads, not tampons. You won't feel so great afterwards, but you will feel better about 6 hours or so later.
