Question Posted Thursday November 10 2005, 8:51 pm

I'm 13, and there's this guy that I REALLY like. I told him, he doesn't like me back, but we're still friends. There's a dance tomorrow on Friday, and I'm not sure whether I should ask him to slow dance. I mean, we slow danced last dance, and I'm afraid that I'll look like I'm desperately trying to "win" him when I'm not, especially considering the fact that he knows that I like him and that he does not like me back. Do you think I should, or would I just look like a loon? If not, could you give a good reason?

hey there. I say that when you go to this dance-hang with your friends and have a really fun time. when a slow song comes on, causally go over and say "hey wanna dance?" im sure that he will say sure. its not the end of the world if he says no- just LAUGH it off and say "ok your loss buddy" and then go find your friends again. be brave and make a move first. youll be fine the best of luck to you
