Question Posted Sunday November 6 2005, 6:12 pm

When i got my belly button pierced they gave me a Captive Navel Ring. It looks like this

[Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

I've had it pierced for about 5 months now and everything looks good but i cant remove it. My mom wont take me to the place that I had it done because shes to lazy but i really want to change the ring.

Any help on how to remove it?

I RATE 5'S!

My friend had that when she got hers done.

Best way to get it out- Take two pairs of pliers and put it on either end of the ball. GENTLY pull the pliers in the opposite direction. If you don't do it gently, it will rip RIGHT out of your stomach.

You should ask someone to hold the ring while you pull the pliers.

Make sure you have the new ring ready to put in.

okay i had one of those tooo .. all you have to keep doin is keep twisting the ball until it feels loose its kinda hard to do at first so some1 else might have to help you .. now my friend who had tha did it w. plyers but that would be like the last thing i want you to do considering you can really hurt yourself!!! so just keep trying to twist the liddol ball connecting and try twisting it either left if not then right ... and tha should work ! qood-luck!!

I used that same ring also, when I got my belly button pierced and I had trouble removing it also. The way I removed it was I turned the ball/connecting piece and pulled on the bar and it came off. If this doesn't work, they say you can take plyers and remove it but I've never tried that.
