Make sure you quailfy for all the things they list. Then, you can be a moderator.

There are three different levels of moderators but to become a L1 moderator, as of now, you need to have been rated five times, your average rating is at least 4, you have joined at least one month ago, if you've ever been banned, it was at least six weeks ago, and you've updated your column in the last week. Dangernerd is working on improving the qualifications of becoming a moderator but that's how you become a L1 moderator as of now.
