The Patch

Question Posted Wednesday October 19 2005, 6:45 pm

Ok so I recently got prescribed the patch, and I was wondering... Is it necessary for my partner to pull out before ejaculation?

I'm not sure how/if I need to elaborate on this... I'll just add to it if the question isn't clear.

Thanks,

x

Extra note:

I know that we're supposed to use a condom for the first week or so, that's not a problem. I also know that my partner hasn't been sexually active before he was with me so there's no real worry of STD's. My question is referring to after the patch fully sets in.

I think it should be fine within the first week you use it like the pill.

Well the patch is as effective as the pill.

And, when you are on the pill it is around 98% - 99% effective.

If you are truely concerned about becoming pregnant, then you should have your boyfriend wear a condom. He can cum inside the condom and you really SHOULD be fine. But, this is not garenteed.

It is no necessary for him to pull out before hand, but if you do want to be ensured you don't get pregnant, then maybe he should. Or, like I mentioned before, wear a condom.
