It depends on how comfortable you are with him. Have you hung out before, have you almost kissed him before? Does he like you? These are all things are important for me to give you accurate advice so that you can apply it to your situation. The next time you are hanging out sit next to him. Instead of just sitting and watching TV or a movie, talk to him. Doesn't have to be about anything big, just ask him if he likes any video games (boys like video-games) and ask him what its about and what he has to do. Ask him how far he has gotten in the game and if he is stuck, just stuff. If you are really feeling bold you can ask him if he has ever kissed anyone before.
