SurpriseYourself answered Friday December 2 2005, 9:55 pm: well i havent been on this site in FOREVER so i dont know how old your question is nut ill answer anyways, i had the EXACT same problem in 8th grade, my teacher totally sucked, all she did was make us write about 3 pages of notes everyday and didnt really teach us anything, but you really need to try your best, ask your teacher lots of questions and for extra credit work, and do all of the extra credit, always do your homework and study for test, no matter how well you think you know it, and if you still arent getting it ask another teacher for help, or ask your parents to get you a tutor, after 8th grade i had to retake algebra(i had a 73 by the end of 8th grade) and although i had a great teacher in 9th grade i would have been better to go on, even though algebra was still on level i had been used to advanced classes and getting as far as you can ahead is great for college and later highschool years [ SurpriseYourself's advice column | Ask SurpriseYourself A Question ]
