Question Posted Wednesday October 12 2005, 6:32 pm
ok today I came home from school because my back hurt SO bad. I can't bend it and if I use ice, it doesn't do anything. If I use heat, it makes it worse. I don't have my period right now so it's not cramps, and I didn't do anything active to cause an injury. I took 2 Ibeprofin (sp) and it wore off within 3/4 hours. Can anyone tell me what this may be and how to make it feel better? Iwanna smash my head against the wall it hurts so bad!

Yes, Ibuprophen usually wears off 3-4 hours. I would just try staying off it for a few days, getting a lot of rest, and if it still persists GO TO A DOCTOR!
kiraexplains answered Wednesday October 12 2005, 8:43 pm: you could have pulled/strained a muscle, dislocated something,or bruised a part of your back. I'm not a doctor so I don't really want to give you an exact persciption. You could have a start to a back problem also. If the ibuprofin is not helping you and neither is ice or heat you need to go see a doctor AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Just in case it is something that is going to become a prolonged problem. Vendetta answered Wednesday October 12 2005, 8:00 pm: You might have dislocated it or something. My friend dislocated her back on Monday and the same thing happened to her. However, the only way to know for sure is to go to the doctor, which I recommend. [ Vendetta's advice column | Ask Vendetta A Question ]
