i`ve tried to add pictures and icons to my page. why won`t they show up?

Do you mean your advice column? If so, HTML is currently not being allowed on columns. The moderators are in the process of putting it back onto columns. Within the next month, you should be able to use it again.

HTML is disabled on columns, resulting in image tags not functioning. The images you posted on your column could show up, that's if HTML is enabled again.
