What's a stent? And how do you use it and what for? Like, my friend has lime disease and he says he needs to get a stent but I dont know what a stent is!!
Stents are used for all kinds of things. I will put the dictionary definition on here for you in a minute.
If he is getting a lot of medications through a shot all the time. They will put a tube like thing unger the skin called a stent. That way they just have to put the needle in it instead of poking him every time.
They also use them to keep veins open in heart surgerys and stuff like that.
Anyway, now that I have you really confused. Here is answers.coms definition. :)
stent (stĕnt)
n.
A device used to support a bodily orifice or cavity during skin grafting or to immobilize a skin graft following placement.
