Question Posted Sunday September 25 2005, 11:57 am

Every other week I babaysit these two kids. One is 10 years old and the other is like 7 or 8. All they ever do is want to swim. I'm not allowed to let them goign swimming in the hottest hours (i liv in tx) and that is from 1-3. I try and get them to do other things like watch movies (they have tivo) and sometimes I try and get them to play board games. They never are satisfied! What other things can I do to get them to have fun?!?!?!

Try asking their parents if you can walk to the park! Also ask if you can bake cookies. That is an everyone participates activity where rarely no one is left out.
Ask them what their main hobbies are. If they say coloring, reading, etc. get them coloring books and crayons or buy them some easy books...
You can play a game where you pour the crayons in a bag and pull 5 out for each kid. Tell them to draw a picture of something only using those.
Ask them what their fav movie is and download it on Tivo.

Good Luck!
