Aliyah is the immigration of Jews to Israel. Many Americans make Aliyah to Israel to live in the land where their ancestors were brought to(is that what you were asking?), and many people from all over the world do also. Israel is a very holy place filled with history and time. It is easily understood why a Jew would want to be connected with this.
I searched google for a while and that's just a summary of what I already know and what i came up with!! Good question though!!
