man i really feel like im being a mean girl when im at work and at school because sum dudes ask me for my number all the time. at first it was at work and this guy liked me and i didnt really like him and he knew that i wanted to just be friends but two days after i said that then on the phone he was all like i think we should start a relationship and i was like i just wanna be your friend and i didnt even like him he is so childish and he get on my nerves at work and i dont really be judgin by looks even though he didnt look all that great. and at school this dude asked me who i am dating and i told him i was taken and he said wat kind of answer is that and i was all like its a answer but i dont go w/ nobody but i just didnt like him either. but i dont try to be mean. now this otha dude at work keeps wantin to pay for my things. and he wanted to pay to get my nails done and my hair did. and wanted to pay for my food. thats nice and all but lettin a nigga pay for everything gon make you owe him somethin cause i been around niggas all my life and they all the same so i said i would pay for my own food. he asked for my number but i didnt give it to him. and he asked me to be his girlfriend but i told him i just wanna be his friend. and he was all like your gonna make me cry and i was thinkin at first this nigga just pullin my leg and most of the time u think they after your goodies you can tell when they holla at you and i am super super straight but i just didnt like them dudes .... is that mean to anybody? cause if it is wat am i gonna do i dont want boys to think im mean but i am picky

There is nothing wrong with setting boundaries. This person is the one who is out of line. You have been clear with him as to the type of relationship you want to have with him. He is not respecting you when he continues to aggressively pursue you. If it were me I would tell him that if he can't abide by your wishes from now on then you don't think that the two of you can even be friends. This is not being mean. It is being true to yourself and what you know deep down is best for you. Always stick with your instincts no matter what anyone else may tell you and you will succeed in life. Don't let others sway you to do what you know is not in your best interest. Good Luck!!
