that is basically my case because my hair is like STICK straight, so what you should do is this ::

1. the night before, french braid it into 2 or 3 braids. (make sure to get the TOP, THIS IS IMPORTANT, or have someone do it for you.

- before you braid, run gel thru your hair with your finger tips.
(not TOO much)

2. when you wake up, take it out and add some more gel if needed and scrunch.

vIOLA!

My hair is naturally straight and long.
I always had trouble scrunching my hair because by the middle of the day it would go back straight and looked like I didn't know what brushing my hair was. lol I found this really really cheap shampoo that is amazingly cheap at Rite Aid it's only $4, it's called Wash and Curl. Use that without conditioner and scrunch your hair a little bit before you go to bed and sleep with a bun ontop of your head. By morning it will seriously look liek it was professionally done. =) Hope it works.♥
