Well anonymous reader (^_^), here are a few good ideas. Maybe for a birthday gift, ask for a ticket down to fly down to Texas. If you don't want to tell them you'll be mostly hanging out with Jenna, set it up where you can stay with a friend who's also good friends with Jenna. That way, you three can all hang out together, but you can still get some alone time. If you actually wanna stay with Jenna, when telling your parents, make sure it sounds like she's just a friend. You know, those little things matter. Also, it might sound rude, but if you have a friend having a Bar/Bat Mitzvah in Houston, make sure they know you reaaaally wanna go. Press it a little, but not to the point of where it sounds like you are nagging them for an invitation. If you need more advice, you know how to get me ^_^ Good luck, pal.
