it is making me insecure.
hi. im 13/M and i am in 8th grade. last year like a little into 7th grade, i dont know what happened. it's emberassing for me to say, but, my nipples got big. i was extremely confused. i don't know what it is. i am going into 8th grade now and it isn't gone. Maybe it is sometihng that is only happening to me probably because im going through puberty right now. but im scared it might be a disease or something. i had the worst summer. i was always invited to go swimming and things but i am scared to take off my shirt. it makes me really insecure about myself. i get worried it might be a bad illness. please help me, i don't know what to do =( i don't want to feel insecure around everyone =(

From my understanding, boys nipples grow in size when they develop and go through puberty. If your whole body is growing, [ getting taller, penis size, facial hair, body hair, voice deepening ] things of that sort, then it would be just a normal form of puberty. If thats the only thing growing, then wait a little bit, everything will even out. If your really self conscience about it, I would say go to the doctors or maybe look some things up online. As far as I know its normal.
