i have a crush on my best friend

I have a best friend and he is so cute! weve always been -just- friends.Now, for some reason I kindof like him and I really would like him as more than just a friend.I dont know what to do because is I ask him out and he says yes.Then we will go out, but when we break up......will we stil be friends???? So what should i do?!?! ( I really like him).
