At my school one of my classes means being assigned to a show and working on a play. The teachers assign your possisions.
The thing is, this year alot of my friends got really great positions and I got kinda cruddy ones. Not terrible. Just an assistant and a crew member for shows that happen at almost the exact same time...
Makes me feel like my teachers don't really care or notice me and I'm really down about it. Any ideas how I could deal with this feeling?
You say it's a cruddy job but in my experience bad crew = bad show and belive me, the people putting on the show will know how much of a difference it makes. A good crew member will be everyone's darling, a bad or sloppy one will make more enemies than hitler.

Stick it out and go through with the positions you have, and no matter how small, do them to the best of your ability, and give it your 200%! If the teacher's see your trustworthy, and your a good sport, you might wind up with a good position next time. You could ask friends for tips as well. Try not to fret so much, you'll see your better in places where some of your friends might be weak. Understand that not everyone could have an amazing part, because there's limited positions, and that your teachers could've potentially wanted you, and just not had enough room. Good luck!!!
