When you're single, it also means that you're saving yourself, saving your time, and saving your heart for the right girl. Who wants to waste time with girls that they'll only spend a few months with? I think it's almost pointless to go out with someone for three or four weeks, or even months, if you have intentions of breaking up with them to begin with. A good rule of thumb is to ask yourself if you would want to spend the rest of your life with that girl, marry her and such. If the answer is "No," you probably shouldn't go out with her.
If you don't have any prospects, start hanging out with girls - as friends. Surely one of them will be attracted to you, and you to her.
Besides, you're still young. You've got a while. You're not going to spend the rest of your life lost and alone (unless you don't get out there or that's what God wants). Obviously you're lonely - I don't think that's what God wants for your life, for you to be lonely. Don't worry, the right girl will come along.
Hang out with girls and guys as friends, go to movies and do fun things togheter. Meet new people, try new faces. There's someone out there for you. :-)
