When they strip your hair, they don't use regular hair dye. They use what they call "bleach". I would say you can go to Sally's and pick up some Kalidecolors(in the blue container), or some Wel-Lite. But I don't know for certain if you will be able to get it without having a student card or a lisence in cosmetology. You could try going there just to see. And you can get the tub of powder and the liquid developer for like 20 bucks. You might want to get the trial size ones, since you only plan on stripping your hair once. If you do that obviously, it will be cheaper as well. Just make sure you follow all instructions on the containers of chemicals. And make sure you mis it right. Make sure to check your hair. Make sure not to over process it. Bleach is a very very bad thing to use if you don't know what to do about it. I would say your better off gettin it professionally done. This way, it gets done correctly, and they know what they are doing and how long to process it. If you do it yourself, you have the chance that your hair will get really dry and nappy. Also, it will break off. And you'll be able to comb it and just have chunks of hair just fall out and brak off on the ends. This is why using bleach on hair is not a good idea. But whatever you choose to do, I hope this helps. And have fun with it. [ mysticpixie05's advice column | Ask mysticpixie05 A Question ]
