hi. i'm 14. i ws thinking of gettin my belly button piercd. but i want to know whether it hurts?? it gets infected?? i m goin on holiday on saturday and so will be goin in the pool/sea etc . . . . do you think its a good time to get it done or not?? i don't want it to bother me while i'm away!! thanks

I think you should wait until you get back...so you don't have to worry about it on holiday at the pool & stuff. Also, you will need a parents consent, you are underage to legally get it done alone. Good Luck!

If you get it professionally pierced, no, it doesn't hurt at all. It may get infected if you keep playing with it and not clean it. Some say that you should go into the ocean because it will sting but that never happened to me. You should probably get it pierced after you get back, since you could lose the ring.
