breaking a habit okay, i have a bad habit that annoys me. sometimes when i talk to people i use the word "like" alot. for instance, when i'm nervous or when i talk really fast i say the word "like" after practically every other word. people ask me sometimes when im talking to them why i do that, and i don't know why i do ... it's a really weird habit that i can't seem to get rid of haha ... so do you know any ways to help me break this habit ? thanks.

haha that used to happen to me ALL the time!! it is so annoying, but here's how you can start: (that's how i did it) everytime i was having a normal conversation, i could feel the "like's" coming, so i would just stop and say whatever i had to say without saying like.
example:
"she was like omg that's so sad"
-->she was saying 'omg that's so sad'
"i was like, get away from me"
-->i said 'get away from me'
by making small changes like that.. you'll notice that slowly, you WILL stop saying 'like' every two seconds. like is a word that is not 100% necessary, so just try skipping it as often as you can.. but don't forget, it's okay to say like every once in a while! :)
