ok i heard that my previous advice didnt work. so i was thinking why not find a training class for your dog. theyre useually not too expensive. just ask aroun in pet stores and stuff till you find something. and try taking him outside for like five minutes a few times a day. hope i helped ^_^

dogs arent fully developed till theyre a year old, and even then theyre still growing! that german Shepard will have to be 6-7 months b4 its fully house-trained,, just keep an eye on him/her and take her out when ever she sniffs at the ground, stay outside for 20 min., if she doesnt go to the bathroom, bring it in and watch it, and after sleep/eat/drink/play take it out 20 minutes after, well i hope this helps, ne other questions, IM me at xxpolkadotz57xx,

oh, and use "potty-pads" that will help alot!

I have one too. he was a pain to train. if you crate train him that's the best way. they won't want to crap in they're bed so they'll go outside but when he gets out of the crate then pick him up (if he's not too heavy...mine was 25lbs. at 6weeks) and run to the door. i hope this works for you

You absolutely MUST crate train him!

No matter how old a dog is, if they mess in the house, they need to be crate trained. Though at your dog's young age, you also need to realize that they don't really gain control of their "potty" muscles until they are about 6 months old, so they can't really "hold" it at that age. You need to be taking him outside whenever he wakes up from sleep or a nap, right after he eats, and after he gets exercise.

At any rate, you need to start crate training right now.

This is a great site which just happens to be by a guy who trains German Shepherds, but this info works on ALL dogs! Even Chihuahuas. ;-)

Here's another good section of that site:

And a great Q & A on housebreaking:

Get your dog a crate and read the first and last link especially.

If, after you read these, you have any specific questions, feel free to ask.
