When you say long and flowing, do you mean slow? There are a lot of single eighth notes and I was also wondering if those should be sung slow too.

By long and flowing, I mean your airstream should be connected. Like slurred, but not slide-y. It's a little hard to explain without being able to demonstrate it.
Basically, unless there are rests, there shouldn't be much space between your notes.
