EDIT * * *

Section 3. How do I delete, this History trail:

1. To clear the trail in the URL bar of the AOL window, use Keyword: PREFERENCES, then select "Toolbar." Click the "Clear History Trail Now" button. You can set the history trail to clear each time you close AOL by inserting a check mark into the "Clear History Trail" box.
2. To clear the trail in the AOL version of the Internet Explorer, use Keyword: PREFERENCES, then select "Internet Properties (WWW)." In the "Temporary Internet Files" section, click the "Delete Files" button and in the "History" section, click the "Clear History" button.
3. To clear the History trail from the hard drive, go to Start > Run and type in "History." Delete the "History" files located there.
4. To clear desired Cookies from the hard drive, go to Start > Run and type in "Cookies." Hover your cursor over each cookie to determine its origin and delete any desired cookies.
5. To clear any remaining temporary cookies and desired graphics from the hard drive, go to Start > Run and type in "Temporary Internet Files." Hover your cursor over desired cookie or graphic to view it and delete any desired cookie or graphic.

Notes: A link to any graphic opened in 5, above, is thereafter recorded in the Windows "Documents" section. To clear this record, go to Start > Settings > Task Bar & Start Menu and press the "Start Menu Programs" tab and in the "Documents Menu" section, click the "Clear" button.
