MummuM answered Saturday July 16 2005, 9:34 pm: My friend has her belly button pierced. She said it didn't hurt at all. What they do is they take a needle that has a bar bell hooked to it. They poke a hole in your belly button, slide the needle and the bar bell through. Then, screw on the ball to the bar bell and they're done. (It could be done differently too, it probably depends on who you go too. Just shop around before you actually get it done.) It goes by really fast and it doesn't hurt. You just have to make sure to keep it clean and you'll be alright!

butterfly13 answered Saturday July 16 2005, 9:10 pm: i got my belly button pierced twice, it came out the first time so i gave it another shot. its been in for almost a month and its still sore a little bit. i hate needles so i tried my best not to watch. but as far as i know they jus clean the area and mark it an you look in the mirror and make sure thats where you want it. then they put a clamp on your skin to hold it then stick the needle and earing in. it only takes a matter of seconds..that i find very worth it!
