Question Posted Friday July 15 2005, 11:21 am

I'm 14/f, 5"3, 126 pounds (I dont think that really matters) and I have brown hair, brown eyes. The problem is I look really young for my age, not my body but just my face, I dont know how to explain it but I just look young. I was hoping anyone had some makeup/hair ideas that would make me look older or more edgy? Also if you need to know (because of makeup reasns) i have severe acne. Thanks.

well liquid eyeliner will probably make you look older. also darker colors for your eyeshadow. but your only 14 so i wouldnt worry about looking too much older.

Well i would suggest gettin a good cleanser for your face.. anything by olay, nuetrogena, or something from Mary Kay.. um i would wear some press powder *Not foundation because it makes your face look oily if you have bad acne* press powder has a lil bit of foundation but it makes your face not look oily.. Black eyeliner to bring out your brown eyes.. some eyeshowdow i'd go of bronze colors or some brights your choice.. and a girl should always have lipgloss lol.. for your hair i'd wear it down or id wear it up in a messy bun they are always cute.. hope i helped ♥ Dez

Youthful beauty is to be loved! ^^ You may not appreciate it now, but you will when you are older, and look 10+ years younger.

Spiral curls (ringlets) create a very cute innocent look, so if you want to show off the youthful look, try that.

If you have your hair very textured, it can create an edgier look.

Avoid ponytails.

Use darker make up, but not too dark, and avoid pinkish shades. Use wine/berry colors to look a bit more mature.

If you want to look older, ditch the jeans and tees in favor of nicer clothes. Nothing too revealing though. You want to seem classy, elegant, and mature.

Hope that helps!

I think that you should just wait and let nature do it's thing. Growing up should be a fun thing not a drag. Just enjoy how you are right now. But in the meantime..for your acne problem Neutrogena works pretty well and I've heard the ProActiv also works. You could try curling your hair or doing something out of the ordinary that you wouldn't usually do.
