Well there's a boy-we're both on the same tennis team. We're friends, we've never hung out outside of tennis, mainly because he dated my old bestfriend as a freshman, then again a couple of months ago *sophmore year*. By "old bestfriend" I mean we were BeSt friends in middle school but high school came along and we grew apart. I'll sit with her at lunch and comment on her xanga but that's as far as it goes now-a-days. Recently, these two broke up *again* and it was his fault. He started acting wierd or something like that. The problem is, I like this kid! Before him and her went out my friends told me to 'go for it' but of course I didn't but now after this break-up i don't know if i should. Not to mention we're on the same tennis team. Advice?

If you did hook up it could get messy seeing as you have already said he can act a bit weird and strange at times. You have to find out how his ex is feeling about the spilt and if the answer is not good then you should be a friend to her and not try it on with her her ex boyfriend. You had your chance to get with him before and you never did anything about it, now you have to let him and your friend try and work this out. Jeeves answered Tuesday July 12 2005, 12:48 am: It depends alot on how she feels. If she's still really into him then you'd be a darn fool to try and date him. I mean it'd be like waking up without your kidney bad. Who wants that? However if all of a sudden while at lunch (or in her xanga) she randomly states "I am sick of him, he is scum to me!" Then yeah, she shouldn't care, and if she does give you lip about it you have a quote on her. Now it's her fault and she can't touch you. Surely he's not the only guy in the school/ tennis team if you dig the Wimbledon types. I'm sure they'd like to be graced by your awesomeness as well. Good luck with that.
