birth control is either a pill, a shot, or a patch. you use them to keep yourself from getting pregnant when you are sexually active but just remember it is NOT 100% and it does NOT prevent STD's! birth control is also sometimes used to regulate your period.

It controls birth. Its usually taken by people who can't have a baby you see.
It lets them control what happens. Its usualy commonly associated with NOT having a baby. Those guys are totally wrong though.
You can control it so you don't have babies but usually it releases an egg inside you depending on if you're reading instructions or not.
