Well, since I'm a boy and can say from experience, they do care a little. They don't want to go on a date with a girl that dresses like she just got picked up from the streets. You also don't really want to overdress and make it seem like its a prom your going to. Keep it casual. Wear something you would normally wear. Good luck!
