Cold sores (or fever blisters) are not caused by having sexual contact with someone who has an STD. In fact, your friend probably couldn't have gotten an STD at all from just "giving head." There was not sexual contact between both parties, thus there couldn't be any possible way of transmitting a disease. In order for someone to contract an STD, they must either have intercourse, or have an open wound (cut, laceration) on their lips, tounge, mouth etc.
"1. does she have any herpes?" -- No. Your friend does not have herpes.
"2. how long does it take to get herpes?" -- if she had (which she does not ) genital herpes, then it could take anywhere from 1 day to 3 months for the symptoms to show up, though she'd have the SDT as soon as she had sex.
"3. Whenever a cold sore goes away, how long does it take to come bck when u have herpes" -- this also depends. Because she doesn't have herpes, there's no telling. It depends on how serious the virus is. It's like a cold virus. Though it never leaves your body, it is not caused by an STD!! I don't get cold sores often, only about three or four a year. Some people get them very often, once a month even. Trust me, all your friend needs is some cold sore medicine from CVS, Wal*Mart, Kroger, Publix etc.

The doctor will look at the area, take a sample from the sore(s) and test to see if the herpes virus is present. The test you should request is a specific virus culture or assay for herpes virus. however the test will not work if the sores have healed. tewll your friend to Avoid physical contact with the area from the time of the first symptoms (tingling, itching, burning) until all sores are completely healed, not just scabbed-over. At the beginning of the infection, the herpes virus escapes the immune defenses by entering the nerve endings and travelling to the ganglia, which are clusters of nerve cells. In the ganglia, the virus is inactive and it causes no harm to the body or the nerve cells. From time to time, however, the virus can be reactivated. When that happens, it travels back down the nerve to the surface of the skin. There it starts to multiply, causing another outbreak. Recurrences usually develop near the site of the initial infection.Herpes infections have different patterns in different people. Any one or combination of the following factors might sometimes, not always, induce an outbreak or make it come back: surgery, illness, stress, fatigue, skin irritation (such as sunburn), diet, menstruation, or vigorous sexual intercourse. need more help contact me [ LiLNaughtyGrrl16's advice column | Ask LiLNaughtyGrrl16 A Question ]
