Haha, now seee... if *THAT* doesn't sound like a Reciepe foR awkwaRd moments... I don't know *WHAT* does!!! It was gReat though, I asked all soRts of questions about his life, and made silly comments, and I thought it went Really well. He called, and I answeRed saying his name, then he Responded with a "yep", and I asked "How aRe you" - that's the fiRst step... bReaking the ice. Also, make shoRe YOU ask it, because some guys use the Response to that line with something cute, such as "betteR now" oR something like a "Thankful that I get to talk to you" type-of-deal. Now you didn't include an age, oR how well you know this guy, so I don't have much to go on heRe, but I can tell you to fish foR a lot of details with the questions you ask. FoR instance, my ex told me he moved. I asked if the house was "pRettie", then asked if it was "cute" and if he was happie theRe. He said he was, and I asked him about his bedRoom. He went on to say the size of it, and I asked what fuRtnituRe it contained. You get what I'm saying... I asked about his fuRnituRe.. it's Really like a 'who caRes' type of question honestly, but it keeps it fun and keeps it goin'. I don't know if this guy has a job oR not, but if so, ask him if he's happie theRe... and what exactly does his job entail, and if he has tons of fRiends.. and if theRe's a giRl he likes... and it's impoRtant to say that like you'Re just cuRious, but it doesn't matter to you... that way, he's pRobably moRe likely to give you an honest answeR, and you can see wheRe you stand and how good youR chances aRe. If you'Re on the youngeR side, say 12, 13, oR 14, talk about old t.v. shows, such as "GUTS", "Wild N CRazy Kids", "Hey Dude", "SailoR Moon", "ARe You AfRaid Of The DaRk" and so on. Also, a good question... ask about his day!! I always ask people about theiR day, but I make them go into detail... eveRy single detail fRom the moment they woke up til the veRy second I asked -- this usually keeps things going, because theRe's alot to be commented on heRe also. If you don't know this kid too well... tRy getting to know him by asking him what his middle name is... wheRe he was boRn.. if he plays any instRuments and things like that. TheRe's almost always a whole lot to be said to just about eveRyone!! I can only RemembeR two people in my life that I could just could not keep a conveRsation with, so my questions and techniques woRk Really well as faR as I'm conceRned!
