Meningitis

Question Posted Saturday May 28 2005, 12:00 pm

I was diagnosed with Viral Meningitis last Sunday. I had a spinal tap done and as a result from that received a "spinal headache". This is where whenever you stand up you have intense pressure on your head and neck. On Wednesday I was able to stand up without this happening, but I feel very tired all the time and have heacaches off and on. Does anybody know when these symptoms will go away?

my brother had meningitis when he was little but he also had insefalitis soo his symptoms were a little worse ... but anyway i think you should just not think about it and when you get a head ache don`t think of it as a spinal headache think of it as a regular headache and trust me time will fly and you`ll be feeling better in no time .... hope i could help ; )

A girl in my class had meningitis a year or two ago. It took her a few weeks to completely heal, but she felt a whole lot better after about four days. I hope you feel better soon! Meningitis is a nasty sickness...
