okay so theres this girl in my class and i guess you could say were good friends. but she doesnt exactly dress the way i do. to put it bluntly, shes a FREAK! she tells me all the time that she buys her clothes from wal mart and target, and i just cant be seen with this kind of person! and she wears browm and black together.. i mean, WHAT IS THAT?! did this girl not pay attention in kindergarden when the teacher told everyone NOT TO WEAR BLACK AND BROWN TOGETHER!! what can i do?

Maybe give some free advice about: Fashion and Styles? shortiebebe021 answered Tuesday May 24 2005, 1:16 pm: well you shouldn't just stop being friends with her just because you don't like the way she dresses. but yeah..brown and black ugh. i personally don't think target's clothe are that bad, even though i don't buy my clothe there. and i never even knew walmart sold clothe haha. anyways suggest to her NICELY why she doesn't wear some other color. say something like "you know, i think you'd look really pretty in pink" and she might start wearing different colors. take her on a shopping spree and take her to the stores you shop at, and make her buy clothe there. if she refuses to, ask her why she only wears brown and black, those colors are so depressing. ask her to start wearing at least a bit of color in her clothes. and honestly, i don't think people can truly tell whether her clothe are from walmart or target (unless they actually say walmart or target on them) so that part isn't that bad. maybe the reason she shop there is because she can't afford to buy clothe at other places. some families are just like that and you can't blame her for it. anyways good luck!! :) [ shortiebebe021's advice column | Ask shortiebebe021 A Question ]
