how do i help her?

14/f/nc my friend has been acting really strange latly..usally she is hyper and active..but now she acts depressed and gloomy..in class we learned about depression and about committing sucide and my friend is showing most of the symtoms what should i do? my friend lacey thinks i should tell the counsoler but my other friend courtney say i should leave her alone. i'm so confused!! please help me

I think you should talk to her.. definately don't go to the counselor! You will lose complete trust from her.. She will think she can't tell you anything. I was really sick, and one of my friends went and told our counselour. So, during study hall, while I was taking notes for a big report - I get called down there and she was talking to me about my sister.. and me wanting to commit suicide.. I MEAN COME ON! Anyway, that's how your friend will probably feel.. GOOD LUCK!*
