Hello there,

There is a way. It is somewhat involved, but if you must do this for whatever reason then it probably helps to know that it isn't impossible. :-)

If you are running Windows XP, and your windows installation directory is "windows", then open an explorer window and navigate to:

C:WINDOWSsystem32driversetc

find a file called "hosts" (No file extension)

open the file and it will ask you what you want to open it with... Pick notepad.

add the site you want to block like so:

find this line:

127.0.0.1 localhost

below it add:

127.0.0.1 www.siteihate.com

...save the file and try to get there. ;-)

Please note that the spaces between the number and the domain name should actually be a TAB. In other words:

127.0.0.1(press the tab key once)www.siteihate.com

If you need further help, please ask directly.

DangerNerd.

P.S. May I use your question in my blog?
