Question Posted Monday May 9 2005, 10:35 pm

Hi, i'm 14 and i live in Pa.. (I came across your site while doing a google search for bowling for soup sheet music - don't ask me why yours' was the first result!) anyway i wanted to ask you if you've ever had your hair highlighted and if you did how did you get it done the first time? A friend, mom or a salon? it's really expensive in a salon and anyone i trust have
never done it before...i'm stuck but i want a change.

Sarah
ps. I share a lot of your values and really enjoy reading you colom and journal!

Hey, nice to meet you! :) I've never had my hair highlighted, but I do know that you should DEFINITELY have an older adult/professional do your hair. Things can go horribly wrong if someone inexperienced tries to do anything to it. If you want to have natural highlights fast, get some Sun-In or diluted lemon juice and streak it through your hair before going outside on a sunny day. I have auburnish hair and it turns out a nice strawberry color. Hope that works for you until you can find professional help!
