i know i know

Question Posted Tuesday May 3 2005, 9:35 pm

yeah, i know this is a kinda dumb question, and you moderators, go ahead and rate me low, but please just give me the chance to get a FEW answers...i cant find anything online!!!

ok, i play paintball and i had just recently gotten a sponser for our speedball team, its a local paintball feild named Fungunz. I was woundering from all people who play paintball or even sponser them: What should i expect from the sponser? What kinds of things do they expect from us?

Another question: i have a Tippmann 98 custom with a double trigger (which i plan to take off for speedball) and a velocity adjuster, does anyone know where i could get a response trigger for my tippmann for under $80?? please dont say "o yeah, go to google.com and search for bla bla bla, sorry, unless its a wide search, that isnt helpful.. also i am looking for a sponser for my woodsball team, if anyone is willing to sponser us, please drop me a note in my inbox (RBfootballTD) and ill give you all of the information, i do ask ahead of time though to give me your name (as in name from the site) so i can give you a note direct and not put it on my column, thanks a million to all who answer, i know its long...sry!

-P.Baller

i saw this question and i can tell you what i got from my sponsor in a few years ago.

we had a very small store sponsor us, they got us nice t-shirts, some nice pants, and eventually baseball caps (to wear backwards from our mask)

if you're any good you'll attract more sponsors, or your current one will "put out" more.

also if you're just lazy and looking for free stuff (our sponsor told us about this) you're not going to get much, but if you enroll in a lot of tournaments, you not only enhance your skill and amount of wins you also make your sponsor look good.

ALSO, they ended up paying for 1/4 of our entry fees.

it all depends.

You are not going to find a good response trigger for under 80 bucks dude. Youll have to spend more than that for one.

As for getting things from sponsors...If its a small company dont expect much. Maybe free balls and free gas fill ups. What they expect from you. Advertising and lots of it.
