ok, is it really true that you dont have to "learn" how to put a tampon in? or do you just stick it in? i would really appreciate some advice..so i dont do anything stupid..thanks!

There are instructions on the box, but basically that's it. I'd masturbate before hand, just so that you know what it feels like to have something in your vagina, but yeah, it's not something that takes a whole lot of learning.
